I have just heard of the death of Mr. Suhor. He was my English teacher at Redemptorist High School. He turned my life around with his kind words and insights. I've taught school for over 40 years and Mr. Suhor was always my ideal. I owe him so much.

I thought Mr. Suhor was a great teacher. I was in his English classes in the late 50's. In fact he sent me to State for English one year. I remember he had us read stories from the Saturday Evening Post. I spoke him at a couple of the reunions and told him I thought he was such a good teacher. I will never forget him (such a dedicated man).

I was lucky enough to have been in several of Mr. Suhor's classes while attending Redemptorist. He was the most honest and genuine person I ever had as a teacher. Lessons he taught both academically and morally stay with me till this day. I'm glad I had a chance to sit down and talk with him almost 30 yrs. later and tell him that. He will be missed by the many people whose lives he has touched and made better.

I was a student of Mr Suhor at Redemptorist. I particularly enjoyed his religion classes where he encourged discussion and singing. He was a kind soul and will be remembered by many. God bless.

Mr. Suhor was easily one of my favorite teachers at Rummel. I was lucky enough to have him for two classes (Latin I and II). However, it was during my time as the President of the Latin Club that Mr. Suhor moderated that I was really able to get to know the great man that he was. His faith was truly inspiring. He was such a kind-hearted person and it was always a pleasure to be in his company. He will be greatly missed.

I have two fond memories whenever I think about my Redemptorist years and Mr. Suhor. The first is in English class when he allowed us to read "The Hound of the Baskervilles" in class and played background music for atmosphere. I could envision myself on the dark, misty moors of England. The second was in Religion class when we were discussing the subject of reincarnation. Mr. Suhor said that the Catholic Church did not believe in reincarnation. A student said "But Mr. Suhor, when you die and go to heaven, won't you be a "Saint Bernard?" There was a roar of laughter from the class as well as from Mr. Suhor. Nick Compagno, Class of '65

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Suhor. He was a sweet man, and a great teacher. I was lucky enough to have him as one of my teachers while at Redemptorist, and enjoyed being in his class every day. I was so excited to find out he was a teacher at Rummel when my son attended school there. Even though Zachary didn't have any classes with Mr. Suhor, just having him as a teacher there only further supported the positive feelings we had about the school. We will all miss you, Mr. Suhor, and I know your absence will be felt by both the current and future Rummel community. You were the kind of teacher we all wanted.

Both my husband and I were students of Mr. Suhor at our years at Redemptorist and enjoyed his classes. What a class act!
Met up with him several years later at various reunions and get togethers and was glad to hear he was teaching at Rummel.
Teaching has lost a very good teacher.

My deep condolences to the Suhor family

I was a student of Benny's at Redemptorist. He taught me English and Theology. He inspired an appreciation of music,
art and literature in me. I continued to have contact with him throughout the years in the Charismatic Renewal, the
St. Francis Cabrini Eucharistic Adoration Chapel and during the time I was on the Redeemer School Board.

His deep love of God was evident in how he lived his life. I thank God for having had the privilege of knowing him
and being taught by him.

My deepest condolences to all of Benny's family and friends. I have been a co-worker of his at Rummel for the past thirteen years, and I have rarely seen a man of such prayer and faith. He had a profound effect on me and on all of the young men lucky enough to have been his students.

I have lost touch with Cathy Suhor. I worked with her back in the eighties at Studebakers in Tallahassee. She and Beth and I share the same birthday. Cathy and I were members of the "Cuervo family" Bop Team. The last time I heard from her was about two years ago and it seems like she has dropped off the face of the earth. I find the rest of the Suhor clan and her marriage/divorce from Bob, but no Cathy. Please tell me she is OK.

Just a note to say I attended a few jam sessions with Don Suhor in Va. during the mid-1950s. He was a fine musician.
